Windows Client   v7.2

1 – Download and Install the latest DroidCam Client

DroidCam.Client.Setup.exe (98MB)

For Windows 10 / 11 (x64 or arm64)

Go to droidcam.app/windows on your computer to download and install the client!

Next >

2 – Launch the client from the Start menu.

Next >

3 – In the Client, click into the centre, or right-click and choose Add > DroidCam.

Make sure your phone is on the same network as your computer, and the DroidCam app is open and ready.

Click [Refresh Device List] to search for devices. After 3 attempts, you will be presented with the option to add a device manually.

If auto-discovery is failing: ensure the app has Network permissions granted, ensure multicast is allowed on your network, try toggling WiFi Off/On or restarting your system.

Next >

4 – Add your device, and the DroidCam client will attempt to connect with the app.

Once active, re-open chat programs (Zoom, Teams, Discord) and select "DroidCam Video" as your camera – just like a regular webcam!

If you are using an ARM based Windows computer, please check the 'Windows on Arm (ARM64) Support' section on the Help page. A patch is required for the client to sync with the webcam. This is a temporary patch as arm support is improved.

If you just see green output (green screen) after selecting DroidCam Video: in the DroidCam Client use File > Exit and re-launch it. If that does not help, you may need to restart the computer for webcam output to sync.

Tick "Enable Audio" when adding a device to include audio capture from the phone. You can then select "Droidcam Audio" as a microphone in other programs. Note that audio quality and latency may vary and using Droidcam for video-only is recommended.
